2 weeks since I have seen my lil rainbow...... feels like forever..... how I wish for the arrival of 08 Jul.... Hopefully, lil rainbow will show us his/ her gender so that we can start SHOPPING soon!!!!

Ob/ Gyn Appointment on 10 Jun

Went to see Dr John on 10 Jun to review my OSCAR result. The risk of T21, T18 and T13 is < 1:5000, 1:12000 and 1:20000 respectively. During the US Dr John try to determine the gender of our Lil Rainbow but couldn't be certain although he said there seems to be a little white bub in between the legs. He saw us baby's little toes as well :), but the pic he print out for us is not in an ideal position. could only see the head and body :(. Next time will ask him to take a better picture.

Good news  is my next appointment will be 4 weeks later! Bad news: my blood platelet level is still high at 464. Dr John referred me to see Dr Yvonne Loh who is a haemotologist. She took more blood test and will be going to see her again on 08 Jul to review, hopefully everything will be good.

Pre-Natal Yoga

Due to my previous miscarriages, I was advice againest any form of excercise during my 1st Trimester. So I went around looking for Prenatal Yoga classes the attend the moment I hit week 12.

I went for a trial at Masters Yoga last Thurs (05 Jun), though I found the instructor good I was a little concern about the lack of classes and the location (Tanjong Pagar). Thus I decided to go for another trial at a different studio before I commit myself to any packages.

Yesterday (Sun 08 Jun), I went for the trial class at Como Shamhala and I was blown away by the studio the moment I stepped in. It was really spacious and looks very clean and tranquil. The instructor also seems to be very experienced in teaching Yoga to expecting mummys and so I decided to sign up for a block of 10 lessons with them.

Oscar Scan 04 Jun 2014

Went for the Oscar Scan at NUH today, was expecting a long waiting time from mummys who have done it at NUH. Surprisingly, I only waited for 10 mins and the Fetel Care Centre is very comfortable and the staff there very helpful and polite. Lil Rainbow was also super coorperative, seems to be in dreamland during the scan and he/she is positioned perfectly for the scan. Everything looks normal and we were out of the consultation room in approximately 10-15 min.

Till we review the scan and blood test result with Dr John Yam on 10 Jun.

A Day Short of 11 Weeks

Finally got to see our lil rainbow after 11 days! Today we saw the lil rainbow touching  his/her little face and waving the arms around! So adorable! I will be doing the OSCAR Scan on 04 Jun and will only be seeing Dr john Yam again on 10 Jun. Thats 2.5 weeks later!

9 Weeks! 1st Time Seeing Baby's Movement!

Dr John Yam insist on seeing me before he leaves for his Medical Conference. Today we saw baby move, although the movement is quite subtle it still feels great! Hope we can see more movements a week and a half later when we see our Ob/ Gyn again after he is back from his Conference.

Week 8 and Finally No Injection!

The doctor is confident enough not to give me anymore injection. Finally! Everything looks normal and we are starting to feel more and more at ease. Ending this post with a portrait of our little rainbow at 8 weeks 2 days.

Week 7 Appointment

Still doesn't look like a baby to me. Heard the heartbeat for the 1st time though only for a short few seconds. Given the Progestin Jab again and still on 2 tab Utrogestan.

 

 

I am still seeing Dr John Yam once a week, he is super careful about this pregnancy! Till next week!

6 Weeks and Heartbeat Detected!

My heart was literately jumping out of my mouth during the ultrasound scan, was praying silently that I will see something in the gestation sac. Something that never did happened during my last 2 pregnancies.

Initially, I couldn't see anything on the large screen in front of me and my heart sunk, then...."Congratulations, you see the twinkle twinkle little star?". I turn my head to look at the ultrasound machine screen and I saw the flickling spot in the gestation sac!!!!!!

 

Dr John Yam gave me a Progestin Jab again this weeks just in case and I will have to continue taking 2 Utrogestan Tablet every night. Will see him again in a weeks's time.

1st Ob/ Gyn Appointment - 14 Apr 2014

Today we went to see Dr John Yam for the 1st time since we found out about about the pregnancy. Being barely 5 weeks along, nothing much is seen in the ultrasound except for a very small gestation sac.

EDD is 13 Dec 2014. Dr John Yam decided to give me Progestin Jab and put me on Utrogestan Tab just in case due to my previous miscarriages. Keeping our fingers cross till our next appointment in a week's time!

Rainbow From Heaven

This blog is started to document the growing up journal of my rainbow baby after 2 early miscarriages. Babies you will never be forgotten and Mummy will see you in Heaven someday.

We have been trying to conceive again after losing our 2nd baby in Jul 2013. After trying for 5 months, Finally on 06 Apr 2014 this is what I saw after missing my period by just 1 day...

 The line was really faint but without any doubt there is a LINE!!!! On the request of my hubby I did a retest the next day...

This time round is visibly darker and so we schedule our 1st appointment with Dr John Yam on 14 April.
